Syrian women’s table tennis team is the first place in West Asia Championship

Amman, (ST) – The Syrian women’s table tennis team won first place yesterday in the West Asia Championship held in the Jordanian capital Amman.

Syrian team was represented in the women’s category by players Hind Zaza and Naya Suleiman, and it is participating in the championship with a number of age groups.

Besides Suleiman and Zaza, the team comprised the players Rachel Abboud – Lynn Oghli – Hala Hamama – Sarah Wassouf – Taqi Abu Hasna – Julie Diop – Taj Musa – Abaa Hallaq – Hind Zaza – Naya Suleiman and the players Yamen Bazzazah – Ezz El-Din Moussalli – Bashara Al-Abdullah – Salem Zaza – Zaid Qatini – Ghaith Gharib.

Silver and bronze medals for Syrian judo in Arab Clubs Championship

Meanwhile in Cairo, the Syrian judo team won a silver and a bronze medal in the Arab Clubs Championship held in Egypt.

The silver medal was won by player Raed Rahwan, from Barada Club, in the 55 kg weight competition and under-18 category.

As for the bronze medal, it was won by player Haitham Salihi, also from Barada Club, in the 42 kg weight and under-16 category
