Syrian weightlifter Ali Munther Mohammed wins the golden prize for the World Weightlifting Championship
Damascus (ST) – Syrian weightlifter Ali Munther Mohammed, with his efforts and will, was able to compete with world champions in the recently concluded World Weightlifting Championships in the Albanian capital, Tirana.
The weightlifter stated that from the first moment of his participation in the world championship, his ambition was to win the golden prize, and that is what happened.
He added that the competition was steep and difficult, especially with the presence of excellent weightlifters from Georgia and Ukraine.
Mohammed started weightlifting with Salhab Sports Club at the age of nine, expressing his intention to complete the path of success that began with the local championship, in addition to the golden prize in the Arab Championship and the world gold in Albania.
He revealed that his training is continuing through an indoor camp for two months under the supervision of Coach Ahd Jaghili, in preparation for participating in the Asia Championship in India and the World Championships in Mexico.
It is to be mentioned that Mohammed won the gold medal U-17 World Youth Championship, which was held recently in the Albanian capital, Tirana.
