DAMASCUS – The Syrian version of 8th Annual Robotics Championship in Syria and Lebanon kicked off on Saturday at Tishreen Sport Complex in Damascus with the participation of 39 teams representing 13 robotics clubs in the provinces of Damascus, Damascus Countryside, Homs, Hama, Aleppo and Lattakia, in addition to two teams from Lebanon.
The championship is aimed at young people interested in robotics and artificial intelligence.
The Lebanese version of this championship will be held at the Lebanese University in Beirut on May 6th, 2023 with the participation of teams from Syria and Lebanon, according to Muhib Al-Nuqqari, Head of the Scientific Committee for Robotics in the Syrian Science Olympiad at the Distinction and Creativity Agency.
Al-Nuqqari explained that the championship includes four competitions; two maze competitions, line race and sumo, pointing out that the competitions will be judged by a joint Syrian-Lebanese jury team.
