Syrian, Saudi Foreign Ministers hold talks on the sidelines of preparatory meetings for the Arab Summit
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Wednesday met with his Saudi counterpart Faisal Bin Farhan in Jeddah. Talks dealt with issues relating to joint Arab action and means of enhancing the relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia.
“We get the decision from the highest leaderships in Syria and Saudi Arabia to move forward in consolidating our relations without turning back,” Al-Mikdad said in a statement to journalists following the meeting.
He said that he and Bin Farhan discussed several issues, including the preparations for the Arab Summit and the issue of the mutual opening of the embassies of the two countries, pointing out that Syria and Saudi Arabia will provide all necessary facilitation to open the embassies as soon as possible.
