Syrian-Russian talks on strengthening economic cooperation and encouraging investments in Syria

Minister of Finance Kenan Yaghi and a delegation representing the World Economy and International Policies Research Institute in the Russian Federation discussed means of enhancing economic relations and encouraging private investment.

Yaghi explained the impacts of the terrorist war on Syria on national economy which is currently at the beginning of a recovery stage, despite the negative repercussions on the economic situation.

For his part, Assistant Director General of the Institute for Research on World Economy and International Policies said that discussing various economic aspects and developments in the Syrian economy contribute to enhancing the Russian companies’ investments in Syria.

The two sides agreed to continue communication between the Ministry and the Institute through the Russian Cultural Center in Damascus with the aim of providing all legal and financial clarifications to the Russian investors, and strengthening the Syrian-Russian economic ties.
