Syrian-Russian talks on enhancing cooperation in the field of social programs

Damascus (ST) – The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour on Monday signed a cooperation agreement with the International Public Organization “Union of Orthodox Women” in Russia to enhance cooperation in the field of social, humanitarian and cultural programs related to childhood and women and enhance families’ awareness about care and education.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Louay Al-Munjid affirmed that the agreement comes within the context that enhances cooperation between Syria and Russia, especially in the face of modern liberalism and its tendencies to distort the family, pointing to the necessity of implementing programs that aim at building healthy family.

For his part, the organization’s coordinator in Syria, Hassan Nasrallah, stressed that this is not the first experience of the union in Syria, and that the agreement came after the negative effects of the terrorist war, which negatively affected the family, especially children, who are considered as the foundation of society.

He noted that there are many strategic projects that will be worked on in a way that serves the Syrian family.
