Moscow (ST): A ceremony was held in the Russian capital, Moscow, on the stage of the historic Bolshoi Theater, to distribute the Bravo International Awards for Classical Music, with the participation of a number of Russian artists and artists from foreign countries. Syrian musician Misak Baghboudrian, leader of the National Symphony Orchestra, was honored with the award for best classical performer from a participating country.
In a speech while receiving the award, Baghboudrian expressed his desire to share his award with all his fellow Syrian musicians who, despite the years of war, continued to work for the continuity of the music.
In turn, Ahmed Kaddoura, a diplomat at the Syrian Embassy in Moscow, thanked the Russian public for giving them the opportunity to learn about Syrian creativity, expressing his hope that this ceremony would constitute a new start for cooperation between Syria and Russia in the artistic and all creative fields.
