Syrian-Iranian talks on enhancing the security and stability of the region

On May 10th, the International Conference on “Engineering the New World Order” was held in Tehran, with the participation of 37 countries.

Syria was represented in the conference by a high-ranking military delegation headed by General Abdel Karim Mahmoud Ibrahim, Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces, who delivered a speech conveying the greetings of President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian people to Iranian leadership, armed forces and the friendly Iranian people.

General Ibrahim affirmed that the war on Syria constituted the turning point in changing the international system, which would not have become a reality without the Syrian steadfastness.

General Ibrahim said that Syria’s victory is the real starting point for drawing the features of the new world order, with which unilateralism and hegemony are denied.

General Ibrahim called on friends, allies and all countries that reject American hegemony to cooperate in various fields so they can possess the strength with which they defend their rights.

At the end of his speech, the Chief of Staff thanked the brothers and friends who stand by Syria, especially Iran, which is hosting this conference.

Upon his arrival, General Ibrahim was received by Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.

The two sides held an expanded session of talks to discuss bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation between the two friendly armies, where they stressed the importance of continuing joint action to face all challenges, in a way that serves the interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries and enhances security and stability in the region and the world.

General Ibrahim also held a session of talks with Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, Iran’s Minister of Defense, dealt with the most important changes and developments on the regional and international arenas.
