Syrian Film “Photograph” Participates in Baku International Film Festival

The Syrian short feature film “Photograph”, directed by Almohannad Kalthoum, participates in the Asian Talent Competition for the Baku International Film Festival at its fifteenth session, which runs from 4 to 8 October in Baku, capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Festival’s Administration said in a statement: This year, 79 films from 26 countries have joined the festival’s multiple competitions. Several film artists will be honored at the festival which will include a number of training workshops and intellectual and cinematic seminars.
“Photograph” along with 9 other feature films compete for Asian Talent Competition awards from several countries, including Syria, Palestine, Turkey, Pakistan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan and Iran.

” Photograph”, discusses the effects of war and post-war in Syria on Syrian children and the labor that is imposed on them to support their families financially in exchange for giving up their educational rights. It also highlights the impact they were exposed to after the war, in addition to presenting the repercussions of the crisis and the human struggle for survival.
