Syrian Embassy in Cyprus continues to receive condolences over earthquake victims in Syria

Nicosia (ST): A representative of the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday visited the Syrian Embassy in Nicosia to offer condolences over the victims of the earthquake in Syria. He expressed the grief of the government and people of Cyprus for the ordeal of the Syrian people and their sympathy with the families of the victims.

The embassy was visited by representatives of political and popular organizations and ambassadors of a number of Arab and foreign countries accredited in Nicosia, including the ambassadors of the Russian Federation, China, Palestine, the Sultanate of Oman, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Cuba, Poland and Serbia, in addition to representatives of the embassies of Iran, Egypt, Jordan, India and Lebanon.

The embassy was also visited by the head of the AKEL Party and a representative of the Green Party, who expressed their condolences and provided humanitarian aid to the embassy to be sent to Syria.

In addition, Cypriot citizens and members of the Syrian, Chinese, Russian, Armenian and Palestinian communities in Cyprus also visited the Syrian embassy to offer condolences.
