Syrian embassies in Baghdad and Beijing invite members of community and those wishing to contribute to mitigate repercussions of earthquake

The Syrian Embassy in Baghdad called on members of the Syrian community in Iraq to contribute to help those affected by the earthquake that hit Syria last Monday.

The embassy said in an appeal: “Based on the spirit of national unity that unites all Syrian  people, and within the framework of the emergency action plan announced by the Syrian government to mobilize all national energies and capabilities to provide relief to our people affected in Syria by the devastating earthquake, the embassy informs the people of the community that it is opening its  door to material contributions at its headquarters.

The Syrian Embassy in China also opened the door for donations and called on the community to contribute to alleviating the suffering of their countrymen as a result of the earthquake.

The Syrian ambassador in Beijing, Muhammad Hassanein Khaddam, called on the community members to donate and cooperate with the embassy in order to help alleviate this difficult ordeal caused by the earthquake. He highlighted coordination with the Chinese side at all levels to reach the best results in helping the victims of the earthquake. Several Syrian embassies abroad called on members of expatriate communities to donate to help those affected by the earthquake.
