The young Syrian director Bashar Al-Dhilli has finished filming and producing the short documentary film “12 years old Richter” through which he sheds light on the suffering of the people of the Syrian Al-Hasakah Governorate as a result of the war and its impacts on the psychological and living conditions of citizens.
The director stated that the new film nareates the story of the city of Al-Hasakah, whose people suffered as a result of the war and the suffocating siege which resulted in starving innocent people and caused thirst to them because of cutting off the water by the occupation forces. He also depicted the retreat in moral and human standards and ended up with the earthquake which consitutes a continuation of all the difficulties the Syrians have experienced over the past years.
Al-Dhilli indicated that he will work to make his film participate in film festivals for Arab and international short films, with the aim of delivering a message to the world about the suffering of the Syrian people in general and the people of Al-Hasakah in particular, as a result of the terrorist war.
Last September, Al-Dhilli won the Best Editing Award, through his participation in the short film “Mood” at the Film Festival “Bimif”, which was held in Brazil.
