Syrian Captives in Israeli occupation jails affirm their confidence in the inevitability of victory and liberation

Marking the Syrian Captive Day, the captives from the occupied Syrian Golan, who are held in the Israeli occupation jails, have stressed their confidence in the inevitability of victory and liberation due to the military and diplomatic victories Syria has been achieving.

Dean of the liberated Syrian captives Sidqi Al-Maqt said in a statement on this occasion that the captive movement in the Golan is the result of tens of years of continuous struggle against the occupation, pointing out that the continuity of this movement stresses the captives’ rejection of the Israeli occupation.

“Syria, who triumphed over the global war and foiled the conspiracy, hatched against the Syrians, has become closer to liberating the Golan from the Israeli occupation and to releasing the captives from the occupation’s prisons”, Al-Maqt added.

Al-Maqt reiterated the need to support the Palestinian prisoners in the occupation detention centers, particularly those who have been detained for tens of years and those who have been suffering from critical health conditions due to the occupation authorities’ medical negligence amid the deadly silence of the international community and the occupation’s refusal to release them.

The Syrian captive movement has not been limited to young men. All segments of society have participated in this movement, including the elderly, young men, women and children, in order to send a message to the entire world that the people in Golan reject the Zionist occupation and will continue to resist and fight until the occupied Syrian Golan is liberated.
