Baghdad,(ST)- The Syrian badminton team achieved advanced positions in the West Asian Championship which concluded in Iraq with the participation of the teams of Iraq, Bahrain, Lebanon and Jordan and Syria.
The Syrian team won first place for teams in the under-15 category and ranked second in the under-17 category. The Syrian players won 5 gold medals and 3 silver medals in the singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions in the under-15 category.
While in the under-17 category, the Syrian players won one gold, three silver medals, and three bronze ones.
