Syrian army repels terrorist attack in northern countryside of Lattakia, eliminates scores of terrorists

The Syrian army units, deployed in the northern countryside of Lattakia, on Friday repelled a terrorist attack and killed and injured members of the attacking terrorist group.

In a statement posted on its website, the Ministry of Defense said “one of the units of our armed forces confronted an attack carried out by a terrorist group in Lattakia northern countryside, killing a number of terrorists and injuring others”.

“One of the terrorist is of foreign nationality and is called Abu Qutada”, the ministry clarified, pointing out that the corpse of this terrorist and the weapon he was carrying were pulled by the army forces.

The army, on March 31st, also repelled an attack by terrorist groups deploying in Idlib and Aleppo western countryside, killing a number of terrorists and injuring several others.
