Syrian Arab Red Crescent completes the construction of a forensic medicine center in Hasakah

Hasakah , (ST) – with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the volunteers of the Water Management and Rehabilitation Project in the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Hasakah have completed the construction and equipment of a forensic medicine center in the city.

The Head of the Red Crescent branch in Hasakah, Ali Mansour, stated in a statement to SANA that the building was constructed and equipped to be a center for forensic medicine in the city of Hasakah, within the framework of responding to the needs of the region, and in support of the health sector. He pointed out that the implemented works included the construction of a building divided into a cold room for the dead and a room Autopsy of corpses with its requirements, in addition to securing a complete electricity, air conditioning and lighting network for the building.

The Director of Hasakah Health Department, Dr. Issa Khalaf pointed out the importance of establishing the center, being the only one in the region. He pointed to the role of international organizations operating in Syria in supporting the health sector in the province, in terms of raising the level of health services provided in the region in light of the difficult conditions the province is witnessing and their repercussions on the health reality in general.
