Syria wins gold, silver and bronze medals on first day of 4th West Asian Bodybuilding Championship in Bahrain

Manama – Syrian bodybuilders, participating in the 4th West Asian Bodybuilding Championship, held in the Bahraini capital Manama, won 6 different medals on the tournament’s first day, including 2 golds, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes.

The tournament kicked off on Friday at the Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall in the University of Bahrain (UoB) Sakhir Campus, and will conclude on Saturday, 19 August.

The athlete Tawfiq Al-Aboud won two gold medals in the Classic Physique competitions, while the player Abdul Rahman Dabdoub won a silver medal in the physique category. The other silver medal went to athlete Mahmoud Shughri in Classic Physique Master Category, while the bronze medals went to the player Mohammad Ibrahim in the Classic Physique Master open and the Classic Physique categories.

Teams from Syria, Bahrain, the Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon and Iran are participating in the tournament.
