Syria wins a gold and two silver medals in badminton at Arab Paralympic Championship in Manama  

Syria has won a gold medal and two silver ones in badminton at the Arab Paralympic Championship being held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.

The gold medal was obtained by the Syrian team player for special sports, Firas Shiha after defeating the Bahraini, Saudi and Emirati champions.

In the mixed doubles, Shiha and his fellow Syrian team player Altaf Matar, won a silver medal, while in the man doubles, Shiha and a Kuwaiti player won another silver.
