Syria wins 59 medals, including 31 golds, on first day of IPF Arab Cup Powerlifting Championships in Beirut
The Syrian team participating in the IPF Arab Cup Powerlifting Championships 2023 in Beirut harvested 59 medals, (31 golds, 16 silvers and 12 bronzes) on the first day of the tournament.
In the men master II and 59 km category, the player Mohamed Ghazi won 3 golds and one silver, while in the subjuniors 59 kg category, the player Majd Al-Dokki won 3 golds and 1 silver and Mohamed Zain El Din won 4 bronzes in subjuniors 53 kg category.
Meantime, the player Firas Obeissi obtained 4 bronzes in the youth 59 kg category, while Ahmed Shaht won 4 golds in 66 kg men category and in the 66 kg weight Masters III category, Jamal Al-Sawadi won 4 golds.
As for the 74 kg competitions for juniors, Majd Al Hafi won one gold and 3 silver medals, while Omar Al Zain won two silver and one bronze in the men’s 74 kg competition.
As for the female competitions, the player Mirna Al-Essa won 4 golds within the young women’s 43 kg category, while Riam Alloush won 4 golds in the junior category, weighing. Player Sulaf Takla won 4 golds in the 52 kg category, Maria Tahan won 4 silvers in the 57 kg catehory, Haya Hoshan won 4 golds in the 57 kg category and Sidra Khalifa won 4 silvers in the same category.
Player Rama Arrouq won one silver and 3 bronze medals in the 57 kg women category.
