Syria, UNRWA to enhance cooperation in the field of education

Damascus, (ST) – Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, and Director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees “UNRWA” in Syria, Amania Michael Eby on Tuesday discussed means of enhancing cooperation, especially in the field of providing textbooks.

Minister Tabbaa pointed to the Ministry’s keenness to support the work of UNRWA to achieve the quality of the educational process. He referred to the participation of the Agency’s staff in the training courses held by the Ministry for its administrative and teaching staff.

In turn, Eby thanked the Syrian government for its support of UNRWA, especially in the field of using 40 government schools as evening shifts after a number of the Agency’s schools were destroyed during the war, and in the filed of obtaining textbooks and supporting various programs.
