Syria, UAE discuss efforts to enhance cooperation in the educational field

Damascus (ST) – The Minister of Education Darem Tabbaa and the Chargé d’ Affaires of the United Arab Emirates Embassy Abdul Hakim Al-Nuaimi, mechanisms for coordinating joint efforts and cooperation in boost education ties between Syria and the UAE.

Minister Tabbaa talked about the deep relations between the two countries and their importance in enhancing cooperation in various fields, especially education. He noted the UAE’s efforts in support of Syria during the earthquake disaster and its contribution to rehabilitating a number of schools in the affected governorates.

Tabbaa appreciated the UAE’ efforts in highlighting Arab civilization and culture, especially through the Arab Reading Challenge and Best Teacher competitions.

For his turn, Al-Nuaimi pointed to the importance of joint cooperation between the two countries, stressing the continuation of work to support those affected by the earthquake.

He stressed his country’s interest in artificial intelligence academies, indicating the importance of the participation of Syrian teachers in the Mohammed bin Zayed Award for Best Teacher.
