Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar stressed in a phone call on Wednesday the importance of strengthening bilateral relations. They affirmed the importance of continuous consultation and coordination between Syria and Tunisia in various fields.
During the conversation, Al-Mikdad conveyed the greetings of President Bashar Al-Assad to President Kais Saeed of the Republic of Tunisia.
The two ministers asserted the importance of enhancing positive conditions in the Arab arena in a way that reflects positively on issues and challenges facing Arab countries.
Minister Mikdad stressed that Syria attaches great importance to its relations with Tunisia and that it is taking all measures to strengthen fraternal relations between the two countries, including the arrangements made by the Syrian side to reopen the Syrian embassy in the Tunisian capital, and the appointment of an ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Republic of Tunisia during the short coming period.
For his part, the Tunisian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of moving forward towards strengthening the Syrian-Tunisian relations, given the common concerns and interests that bind the two brotherly countries. He asserted the importance of continuing consultation and coordination between Tunisia and Syria in various fields.
