Syria, Tunisia hold talks on cooperation in the fields of transport and agriculture

The Syrian ministers of Transport as well as Agriculture and Agrarian Reform on Monday met separately with the Tunisian Ambassador to Damascus Mohammed Al-Mahdhabi.  Cooperation and coordination between the two countries in all fields of air, sea and land transport and ways to activate and develop the agreements signed in the agricultural field and to strengthen the trade balance between Syria and Tunisia were discussed durinf the two meetings.

Zuheir Khzeim, Minister of Teansport, said that the Syrian-Tunisian economic and commercial relations must be upgraded to the level of political relations, expressing Syria’s readiness to enhance cooperation that leads to prosperity and growth in the value of trade exhange and businesses, particularly in the fields of air, maritime and land transport.

For his part, the Tunisian ambassador affirmed his country’s keenness to boost its relations with Syria, noting the need to discuss studying reoperating the air line to increase mutual vists and reactivte trade, economy and tourism.
