Syria takes part in “Arab Travel Market 2023 in Dubai”, announces that the Syrian Mashta Al-Helou Resort will return to work soon  

During the Arab Travel Market 2023, which is currently held in Dubai with the participation of Syria, it was announced that the resort of Mashta al-Helou in the countryside of Tartous will return to work as one of the tourism companies that work in particioatory between the public and private sectors. Its work will be officially launched during the month of July.

The Arab Travel Market exhibition, which concludes today, constitutes an opportunity to shed light on tourism in Syria, in which the tourism sector is witnessing a remarkable recovery, according to Ayman Qahf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mashta Al-Helou Tourist Resorts Company. He noted that the resort will return on the tenth of next July to work officially after its restoration and the development of its services according to the standards of international tourism services, which contributes to attracting tourists from inside and outside the country.

Qahf underlined the importance of the participation of tourism institutions from the public and private sectors through the Syrian pavilion at the Arab Travel Market exhibition in Dubai. He noted that the resort, which was established more than 40 years ago, is considered as one of the distinguished tourist places in terms of its location in a mountainous area in the middle of forests, and a beautiful tourist environment served with the necessary facilities, in addition to the existence of archaeological and historical sites.

The resort, which covers an area of more than 24 thousand square meters, includes family chalets, hotel rooms, suites for businessmen, swimming pools, restaurants, space for children’s games, sports, shops and conference halls.

It is noteworthy that the Arab Travel Market 2023 opened on the first of this month, and more than 2,000 entities representing 150 countries, including Syria, participated in it. The Ministry of Tourism, a number of tourism institutions from the public and private sectors, and the Federation of Chambers of Tourism participate in the Syrian pavilion. The Syrian delegation is headed by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Eng. Nidal Mashafej.
