Syria strongly condemns the Israeli repeated attacks on Lebanon

Damascus – Syria has strongly condemned the continuous Israeli attacks on the Lebanese territories, stressing that these attacks are doomed to failure, a statement by the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Saturday.

The ministry’s statement came against the backdrop of the attacks which were carried out yesterday by the Israeli occupation against Kfarshuba area in South Lebanon.

The Israeli occupation yesterday fired gas bombs on people of Kfarshuba and Al-Arqoub areas who were demonstrating against razing their lands by the occupation. The attack was faced bravely by the Lebanese people and army.

“The Lebanese people and army yesterday spent the whole day confronting the Israeli attacks in Kfarshouba in South Lebanon and defending the Lebanese sovereignty and land,” the ministry said.

“Syria salutes the Lebanese people and army for bravely defending the land and sovereignty of their country against the Israeli attacks and stresses it strong condemnation of these aggressive acts which will face nothing but failure and successive defeats,” the ministry added.

The ministry pointed out that the plans of the Israeli occupation which aim at changing the geographical situation of the region have failed.
