Syria strongly condemns the Israeli aggression on Beirut and the US and western support for the Zionist occupation entity

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Friday that Syria condemns the Israeli crimes, the latest of which was committed in Beirut southern Suburb in Lebanon this afternoon, and warns that the continuation of these crimes poses a threat to the region and the world.

Syria also strongly condemns the military and political support provided by the United States and Western countries for these attacks to cover-up their cowardly goals, the ministry added in a statement.

The ministry said that “the racist Zionist entity continued to commit massacres in several parts of the region, especially in Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Lebanon. Today, the world witnessed a Zionist aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut, which resulted in the martyrdom of several people and the wounding of other innocent civilians, not to mention the destruction it caused to the infrastructure there. These attacks come after the horrific crime committed by the racist Zionist entity on the Lebanese civil communications system, in another crime that claimed the lives of tens of people and injured thousands others”.

By committing these crimes, the Zionist entity proves its brutality, inhuman nature and blatant rejection of international legitimacy, as these crimes are considered war crimes and crimes against humanity, and the Zionists were not satisfied with destroying Gaza Strip and killing nearly 42,000 people, most of them women, children, school students and elderly.

The Syrian Arab Republic salutes its steadfast brothers in Lebanon, trusts their ability to confront these cowardly attacks and affirms its support for them in the heroism they have demonstrated against the Zionist occupation.
