Syria renews its condemnation of the repeated attacks by Israeli settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque

Damascus, (ST) – Syria has renewed its condemnation of the repeated attacks by the Israeli settlers on Al-Aqsa Mosque. It expressed its condemnation of the international silence on the occupation’s crimes and the continued Western protection for it.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement on Wednesday that Syria condemns the repeated attacks by the Israeli settlers against Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian worshipers under the protection of the occupation forces, and affirms that these attacks constitute a violation of the historical and legal status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Foreign Ministry added that Syria, while deploring the international silence and the continued Western protection of this entity and its crimes, affirms that these continuous attacks against the Palestinian people represent a flagrant violation of international law and the Charter of Human Rights. It stressed that the international community must assume its moral responsibilities and pressure the Zionist entity to stop these attacks and aggressive practices which indicate the occupation’s racist and terrorist nature.
