Syria reaffirms: Taiwan Island is an integral part of China

Syria considers Taiwan Island as an integral part of the People’s Republic of China, this is a truth that should not be affected by any measures or elections in this area, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has stressed.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said that Syria renews its full support for and commitment to the principle of “One China”, represented by the government of the People’s Republic of China, stressing that the island of Taiwan is an integral part of China.

The ministry also affirmed Syria’s support for China’s efforts to defend and protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Syria condemns attempts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of China, and denounces all the provocations and actions that may cause more tension in East Asia region and destabilize international security and stability”, the ministry added.
