Syria, Mauritania discuss strengthening bilateral relations

Nouakchott (ST) – The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud and the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic in Nouakchott Kusai Mustafa discussed ways to develop and strengthen relations between the two countries, in a way that reflects positively on their interests and the well-being of their peoples and that makes optimal use of the opportunities and advantages available to them in various fields.

The two sides agreed to accelerate completing the procedures for ratifying draft agreements, memorandums of understanding and executive programs between the two countries, in implementation of the directives of President Bashar Al-Assad and President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

In turn, Ambassador Mustafa thanked the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for its honorable positions on the war on Syria and in defense of the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations.
