Syria joins the International Center of Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI)

Damascus (ST): The Committee of Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Member States of the International Center for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI), numbering 19 members, unanimously approved Syria’s accession to the membership of the Center.

The Ministry of Communications and Technology stated in a statement that Syria was accepted into the Center during the meeting of the authorized representatives of the member states held in the Republic of Mongolia.

The Center includes 19 members (Azerbaijan – Belarus – Bulgaria – Cuba – Egypt – Estonia – Georgia – India – North Korea – Latvia – Moldova – Mongolia – Romania – Kazakhstan – Russia – South Africa – Sri Lanka – Turkey – Vietnam).

It is noteworthy that the International Center for Scientific and Technical Information is a specialized international organization established on February 27, 1969, aiming to ensure the international exchange of scientific and technical information. The membership of the Center is open to all countries that accept the principles of its founding agreement.
