Syria and Iran have affirmed mutual keenness on following up on the implementation of the cooperation projects that were agreed upon between the two sides.
This came during a phone conversation on Thursday between Prime Minister Hussein Arnous and Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber.
The two sides discussed cooperation in the fields of energy, oil and transportation and in eliminating the obstacles that face the implemention of joint projects with the aim of meeting the needs of the local market and strengthen the Syrian economy in the light of the unfair blockade imposed on the country.
The Prime minister thanked Iran for supporting Syria during the crisis, stressing that the Syrian citizens will never forget this stance.
For his part, the Iranian official reiterated the importance of enhancing and expanding bilateral ties, expressing his country’s firm support for the Syrian people as to enable them to withstand the siege.
