Syria expresses solidarity with people and government of Brazil over hurricane victims

Syria expressed its solidarity with the government and people of Brazil, and its sincere sympathy with the families of the victims of the hurricane that struck the area south of the country, resulting in human and material losses.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that “The government of the Syrian Arab Republic expresses its deep solidarity with the government and people of the Federal Republic of Brazil following the hurricane that struck the state of Riogrande in the south of the country, which resulted in human and material losses.”

The statement added: The Syrian government also expresses its sincere sympathy with the families of the hurricane victims and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded.

It is noteworthy that the death toll from the hurricane that struck southern Brazil rose to at least 36 people.
