Syria Expresses its Condolences to Families of Earthquake Victims in Peru and Ecuador

Syria has expressed its condolences to the families of the earthquake victims in Peru and Ecuador. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement on Monday that Syria expresses its condolences to the families of the earthquake victims in Peru and Ecuador and stresses its solidarity with the friendly governments and peoples of Peru and Ecuador in confronting this disaster. 

The Ministry added that Syria, which was hit by a devastating earthquake last February, affirms that these natural disasters make the concerted global humanitarian efforts more important than any time ever. 

Last Saturday, an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale hit Ecuador and Peru, killing at least 14 people and damaging dozens of buildings.
