Syria elected as member of the Executive Council and the Financial Control Committee of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development

The Syrian Arab Republic was elected as a member of the Executive Council and the Financial Control Committee of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development during the meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development.The meeting  was held recently in the Saudi capital Riyadh with the participation of the Syrian delegation headed by Dr. Ayman Soussan, Syrian Ambassador to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Ministers of Agriculture in the Arab countries.

In a statement to SANA, Dr. Soussan pointed out the importance of developing the work mechanisms of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development and setting its goals accurately to be a tool to achieve agricultural integration, which is essential to ensure Arab food security.

Ambassador Soussan stressed Syria’s support for everything that would develop and strengthen cooperation relations in the agricultural field with brotherly countries in the bilateral and collective framework.
