Syria, Cuba discuss promoting trade ties

Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Trade, Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga, discussed with Syria’s Ambassador in Havana, Ghassan Obeid, prospects to enhance bilateral trade relations.

During the meeting, the two sides attached great importance to boosting economic and trade relations between the two countries and developing them in all fields to reach the highest levels.

Ambassador Obeid reiterated Syria’s position in support of Cuba in its struggle to lift the US blockade and sanctions imposed unjustly on the Cuban people.

For his part, Oliva Fraga voiced his country’s solidarity with Syria, government and people, against terrorism and the European and US sanctions imposed on the Syrians.
