Syria condems the cowardly terror attack in Crocus City Hall near Moscow

Syria on Friday condemned in the strongest terms the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted the Crocus Mall near the Russian capital, Moscow, stressing the importance of concerted world efforts to confront such massacres and hold their perpetrators and the forces and countries behind them accountable.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that Syria condemns in the strongest terms the cowardly terrorist act that took place in the Crocus Mall near Moscow, which killed at least 40 people.

The ministry pointed out that the attack comes after the major achievements made by the friendly Russian people, particularly in the special military operation of the Russian Army in Donbass region, as well as in the elections held several days ago, in which the Russian people confirmed their support for their army and leadership which is keen on the rights of the Russian Federation and the correctness of Russian leadership’s position in the face of the Western colonial scheme and on creating a new, multipolar world that eliminates all forms of hegemony and aggression committed by Western countries, especially the United States.

“The terror attack proves once again the aggressive and uncontrollable nature of the collective West and its disregard for the lives of innocent civilians, not only in Russia but in various parts of the world that seek to preserve their sovereignty and independence,” the ministry clarified.

The ministry went on to say that Syria stresses the need for concerted efforts by all countries of the world to confront such massacres and hold the perpetrators and the forces and countries behind them accountable.

Syria also affirms its solidarity with the Russian people and leadership in the confrontation of terrorism that is spreading in many parts of the world, the minstry pointed out.

Syria expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes the wounded a speedy recovery, the ministry concluded, confirming Syria’s support for the Russian Federation and for other countries that are fighting terrorism and working to uproot it from their lands
