Syria condemns the US – British aggression on Yemen, considering it a desperate attempt to divert public opinion from the crimes of ” Israel”

Syria condemned the United States and British aggression against Yemen and the threat it represents to security, stability and navigation in the Red Sea region, stressing that it is a desperate attempt to divert the attention of world public opinion from the Israeli occupation entity’s war crimes against the Palestinian people.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement, a copy of which was received by SANA today: “the Syrian Arab Republic condemns the American and British airstrikes on Yemen cities, and what they represent of aggression against the Yemeni people, and a threat to security, stability and navigation in the Red Sea region.

“The Syrian Arab Republic considers that this aggression by the United States of America is a desperate attempt to divert the attention of world public opinion from the war crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinian people, and reaffirms that it is a partner in Israel’s aggression against it”, “the ministry added.

“The Syrian Arab Republic deplores the statements of the representatives of the US administration, who have declared themselves lawyers for the Israeli occupation authorities and have blatantly ignored international law, the brutal massacres, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel, and their blatant attempt to enable it to escape accountability and punishment, “the ministry continued.

The Ministry announced that the Syrian Arab Republic welcomes the move taken by the Republic of South Africa against “Israel” before the International Court of justice due to its flagrant violations of the convention on the prevention and punishment of the crime of genocide, noting that this important move highlights the large number of Palestinian civilian victims, especially children, and also ensures the accountability of “Israel” for its crimes against the Palestinian people that have been going on for 75 years.

The American and British forces launched an aggression on Yemen at dawn today, by 73 raids on the capital Sana’a and the provinces of Hodeidah, Taiz, Hajjah and Saada, resulting in the death of 5 people and wounding 6 others.
