Syria condemns the stabbing incident that targeted Comoros President, stresses its rejection of all forms of violence and extremism

Syria has condemned the stabbing incident that targeted President of the Comoros Azali Assoumani and led to his injury, stressing its rejection of all forms of violence and extremism.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the stabbing incident that targeted President Osman Ghazali, President of the sisterly Union of the Comoros, which resulted in his injury, wishing him a speedy recovery,” a statement by the Ministry said on Tuesday.

The statement added “the Syrian Arab Republic affirms its solidarity with the government and people of the Union of the Comoros, and stresses its rejection of all forms of violence and extremism.”
