Syria has strongly condemned the crime of killing the 17-year-old boy, named Nahel, in cold blood by the French police during demonstrations in a Paris suburb, an official source at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates told SANA on Saturday, pointing out that Syria joins the calls for putting an end to the racist practices of the French officials, police and security bodies.
The source said that the Syrian Arab Republic followed up on the crime of killing the teenager “Nahel” in cold blood by the French police in one of Paris suburbs, which led millions of demonstrators to take to the streets in protest against this reckless and irresponsible behavior by the parties that are supposed to protect the security and lives of people.
“Syria strongly condemns this crime and joins calls for putting an end to the racist practices, which are rooted in the French officials and security bodies and which target foreign communities in France,” the source added, pointing out that these practices confirm that the racist colonial thinking and mentality are rooted in France and this belies the French government’s claims about the values of equality and non-discrimination.
