Syria condemns the Israeli aggression against Lebanon’s sovereignty

Syria on Tuesday condemned the blatant Israeli attack that targeted a residential building in the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut Tuesday evening, expressing its solidarity with Lebanon and the brotherly Lebanese people in the face of the brutal aggression.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that the Israeli entity continues to fabricate pretexts for its policy of escalation and expanding aggression in the region. It targeted a residential building in Beirut southern suburb by three missiles fired by a drone, killing and wounding civilians.

The ministry condemns this blatant attack on Lebanon’s sovereignty and this clear violation of international law, which comes two days after the Israeli entity’s heinous crime in the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan.

Syria expresses its solidarity with Lebanon and the brotherly Lebanese people in the face of the brutal aggression the country is being subjected to, the ministry added.
