Syria condemns illegal entry of a French delegation to Syrian territories and its meeting with separatist groups

Damascus, (ST) – The Syrian Arab Republic condemned in the strongest terms the illegal entry of a delegation from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Syrian territories.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that Syria condemns in the strongest terms the illegal entry of a delegation from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Syrian territories, in flagrant violation of the most basic international laws and norms.

The source added that the meeting of the French delegation with the separatist organizations constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.

“This meeting once again shows the destructive role and the entrenched French hostility to Syria, and France’s full partnership in the aggression against Syria through its support for terrorist groups and separatist militias”, the source added.

The source pointed out that Syria reminds the French government that the fight against terrorism should be done in cooperation with the Syrian state that has been facing this terrorism, not in cooperation with the separatist organizations that formed a cover for the French government and that are united with the French government in the same goals, which are showing hostility to Syria and its people, violating its sovereignty and causing harm to its territorial integrity.

The source stressed that Syria calls on the international community to condemn this reckless behavior of the French government, and to urge France to respect international legitimacy and laws and pay attention to its internal problems that have been the talk of the whole world recently, especially the rooted racist practices within its bodies, which are the result of colonial thinking, domination policy and the complex of losing weight through its blind subordination to the American policies.
