Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Muhammad Hassan Qatana discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus Yuri Sloka and the accompanying delegation mechanisms for developing cooperation relations in the agricultural field and for exchanging products.
During the meeting, which was held today in the Ministry’s building, Minister Qatana noted the importance of adopting the principle of barter in exchanging products, according to the needs of both countries, and the importance of cooperation in securing quantities of nitrogen fertilizers before the start of implementing the agricultural plan for the next season in October.
Minister Qatana noted the most important Syrian products that can be bartered, especially phosphates, expressing his thanks to the Belarusian side for inviting him to attend the Agropil 2023 exhibition, which will be held soon in the capital, Minsk, for its importance in showcasing Belarusian agricultural products in all their forms.
For his part, the Belarusian ambassador affirmed his country’s readiness to provide everything necessary to develop relations between the two countries, in a way that serves the common interests, referring to the development of the Belarusian agricultural industries, especially with regard to fertilizers and agricultural machinery.
