Syria, Bahrain to enhance cooperation to help those affected by the earthquake

Damascus, (ST) – Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Louay Al-Munajjed discussed with a delegation representing the team of the Bahraini Royal Humanitarian Foundation areas of cooperation and programs to help those affected by the earthquake disaster that struck Syria last February.

During the meeting, the program (Guidance with Mercy) was discussed, through which the foundation’s team trains a cadre of supervisors and specialists in the ministry in the psychological, educational and social fields, to help those affected. The program includes a set of selective strategies to provide support in emergency situations in continuation of the efforts made by Bahrain to provide support for affected families.

Minister Al-Munajjid affirmed the Ministry’s permanent readiness to provide full support for the programs that the Foundation seeks to implement in Syria, to increase the number of earthquake-affected beneficiaries and overcome the psychological, social and educational damages resulting from it.
