Syria and the DPRK discuss ways to develop parliamentary relations

The DPRK-Syrian Friendship Committee in the People’s Assembly discussed during its meeting today with the Chargé d’Affaires of the DPRK Embassy in Damascus Kim Hye Ryong ways to strengthen and develop parliamentary relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the head and members of the committee stressed the depth of the relationships between Syria and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and the need to upgrade them in a manner that serves the supreme interest of the two friendly peoples, calling for strengthening the exchange of visits and experiences, especially in the parliamentary , economic, educational and agricultural fields. Members of the committee hailed the positions of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in support of Syria.

For his part, Ryong stressed the distinction and strength of the historical relationships between the two countries, and his countries’ absolute and firm support for Syria’s sovereignty, security, and stability, stressing the need to consolidate relations between the two friendly countries in all fields, especially economic ones.
