Swedish website: Turkish regime’s Embassy in Italy spying on Erdogan’s opponents

The Swedish website “Nordic Monitor” has revealed documents proving that the Turkish regime’s Embassy in Italy is spying on opponents of President Recep Tayyib Erdogan.

The website said in a report on Saturday that the Turkish government used its diplomats in Italy to profile opponents of Erdogan and gather intelligence about them to help forge a criminal case against critics.

According to the documents, four Turkish nationals had been profiled by Turkish diplomats in Rome and reported to the Foreign Ministry in Ankara. Then information was later used in a criminal indictment for a charge of terrorism by a Turkish prosecutor.
