Prague (ST): The former Czech Foreign Minister Tserel Svoboda stressed that Europe’s dependence on Russian gas is great and it cannot completely dispense with it.
In an interview with Parliamentary Papers, Svoboda indicated that the United States admits that it is unable to supply all of Europe with compressed gas, explaining that one tanker of it can suffice the Czech Republic for only four to five days, and that American gas cannot be a complete substitute for Russian gas, but rather complementary.
He pointed out that the current crisis in Ukraine makes the United States in a very comfortable position because arms sales there are rising and no shells explode on its soil, on the contrary, in Europe, which suffers greatly from this crisis.
