Suwayda Governor made a statement on agreement reached to enhance stability in the province

Suwayda Governor Mustafa Al-Bakour has made a statement on the agreement reached to enhance srability and security in the province.

The main points he mentioned are:

📌”Suwayda Agreement” is an initiative made by the people of the province, religious scholars, and notables to organize security.

📌Talks about foreign support for the people of Suwayda annoy them, and the agreement came to confirm their allegiance to Syria.

📌Young men from Suwayda joined the General Security to implement it in the province.

📌The so-called Military Council in Suwayda objected to the agreement.

📌More than 90 percent of the province’s residents are headed to Damascus, but there are a few who do not want this, without convincing reasons.

📌Sheikh Al-Hajri was present at Suwayda Agreement, and I was informed later all those who attended the agreement said OK.

📌I told Sheikh Al-Hajri that the security personnel in Suwayda will be mostly from the city.

📌There is no need for General Security convoys to enter Suwayda unless state institutions are attacked.

📌The lack of security and stability in the province undermines security.

📌Some violations in the countryside of the province have been addressed.

📌The presence of weapons does not enhance stability and security throughout Syrian territory.

📌There is no justification for the presence of heavy and medium weapons in the hands of the population, and they must be restricted to the state.

📌Anyone carrying light weapons must obtain a license or operate under the umbrella of the Ministry of Defense and Public Security.

📌President Ahmad Al-Sharaa and the Minister of Interior are continuously monitoring developments in the Suwayda file.
