Susan clarifies the importance of Syrian-Russian Coordination Committees’ meeting to be held tomorrow

Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Susan has said the meeting of the Syrian and Russian Coordination committees, which will be held tomorrow morning  at the Palace of Conferences in Damascus, reflects the continuity of Russia’s support for Syria’s effort to pave the way for the return of the displaced Syrians, who have been forced to leave their homeland because of the unjust war on the country. 
 
According to the Facebook account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate, Susan clarified that tomorrow’s meeting comes 8 months after the International Conference that was held on the Return on Refugees in Damascus in November 2020. 
 
“The meeting of the Syrian and Russian Coordination Committees will deal with the development achieved regarding the return of the Syrian displaced and refugees to their homeland,” Susan added in an interview with Damascus-based Al-Watan newspaper. 
 
He pointed out that a big Russian delegation composed of hundreds of dignitaries representing Russian ministries and institutes will participate in the meeting. 
 
Susan concluded by saying that many agreements will be signed on the sidelines of the three-day meeting. 
 
The coordination committees are co-chaired by Syrian Minister of Local Administration Hussien Makhlouf and Chairman of Syrian-Russian Coordination Center Colonel-General Michael Mezentsev. 
 
The International Conference on Return of Syrian Refugees held in November,2020 appealed to the international community to provide appropriate support to secure housing for the displaced Syrians , and their return to the normal life , in addition to increase support to Syria through implementation of projects related to early reconstruction, including basic infrastructure facilities such as water, electricity and schools, and hospitals, as well as to ensure health ,medical care, and social services.
