Survivors of the Israeli occupation’s aggression on Gaza: The situation is horrific

“Tens of martyrs in the streets and alleys of the northern Gaza Strip, children dying of hunger and thirst and residential neighborhoods are completely destroyed… I miraculously escaped death with my wife and my infant daughter after we were subjected to Israeli occupation bombing in Jabalia camp,” This is what Muhammad Abu Warda narrates about the catastrophic humanitarian situation in northern Gaza Strip.

Abu Wardeh confirms that the bodies of tens of martyrs are still lying in the streets and no one can approach them due to the deployment of occupation snipers. he said that he heard the screams of children and women under the rubble of destroyed homes, that none of the civil defense and ambulance crews are able to reach the camp, which is surrounded by occupation tanks.

For his part, Muhammad Abu Al-Hussein, who lives on Al-Hoja Street in Jabalia Camp, points out that the street, which was crowded with residents, was razed to the ground, while dozens of martyrs are still under the rubble, indicating that the occupation bombing destroyed all aspects of life in the camp.

The matter does not stop there, as the bombing affected all the hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, including Al-Awda, the Indonesian and Kamal Adwan hospitals.

While Muhammad Abu Foul, who lives in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia, narrates that the hospital with simple capabilities was crowded with hundreds of martyrs and wounded, as the besieged Indonesian Hospital, which was surrounded by occupation tanks, stopped receiving the martyrs and the wounded.

In central Gaza Strip, the situation is no different from its north, as the occupation aircraft and artillery destroyed entire residential neighborhoods. The Palestinian civilian Ismail Al-Nabahin says: “Medical teams and civil defense are unable to recover dozens of martyrs from under the rubble of homes in the Bureij camp in the light of the depletion of fuel and the lack of necessary equipment to remove the ruins.”

In terms of the humanitarian situation, the suffering of about one million displaced people in UNRWA shelters has worsened, due to the lack of food, water and treatment, in addition to the spread of diseases among the displaced as a result of severe overcrowding.

Abdul Rahman Abu Zayed, who resides in one of these centers, explains that all the necessities of life are missing there, as there is no food, water, electricity or even clothing to protect them from the cold of winter, while the displaced people live on scraps of food to survive in the light of the Israeli occupation, continuous unjust siege, warning against the death of many patients in shelter centers due to the lack of medicine and medical care.
