Sultanate of Oman stresses the need to spare the region from the dangers of war

Muscat, (ST) – The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Sultanate of Oman is following with great interest the developments of the military escalation in the region and the seriousness of its repercussions. It stressed the importance of self-restraint in order to spare the region and its people the dangers of war.

The Ministry also stressed the position of the Sultanate of Oman calling for adherence to international laws and the need for the Security Council to fulfill its responsibility towards maintaining international peace and security.

The Ministry renewed its demand for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the opening of humanitarian and relief aid corridors to all parts of the Strip without obstacles.

Last night, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard targeted Zionist enemy sites in occupied Palestine with missiles and drones, in response to the many crimes of the Israeli entity, including the recent attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
